ā krandaya balamojo na ā dhā niḥ ṣṭanihi duritā bādhamānaḥ apa protha dundubhe ducchunā ita indrasya muṣṭirasi vīḷayasva
Cry aloud with might; do not let down the power; he who is oppressed by hardships, striking from afar—O drum, strike forward; you are Indra’s fist, be active, O conqueror.
Sound loud against the (hostile) host; animate our prowess; thunder aloud, terrifying the evil-minded; rapid, drum, those whose delight is to harm us; you are the fist of Indra; inspire us with fierceness.
Thunder out strength and fill us full of vigour: yea, thunder forth and drive away all dangers. Drive hence, O War-drum, drive away misfortune: thou art the Fist of Indra: show thy firmness.
