In his drink didst thou, O Indra, gain mighty manly might; the wise Indra smote the hostile Vrtras without delay. Therefore rejoice him with the honeyed Soma, quick-imbiber, let him drink for the hero.
In the exhilaration of this Soma, the wise Indra, irresistible, has destroyed numerous opposing enemies; offer the sweet-flavoured beverage to that hero, the handsome-chinned, to drink.
In the wild joy of this hath Indra, knowing full many a form, struck down resistless Vrtras. Proclaim aloud to him the savoury Soma so that the Hero, strong of jaw, may drink it.
