nitikti yo vāraṇamannamatti vāyurna rāṣṭryatyetyaktūn turyāma yasta ādiśāmarātīratyo na hrutaḥ patataḥ parihrut
He who counted out grain and food, who sent forth the wind and restrained the realm—he carried off (the spoil). The fourth who commands the hosts is not obstructed; he who fell not, removed surrounding fear.
He who whets his (gloom) dispersing (radiance), who eats the (offered) oblation, a soverign like vāyu, overcomes the nights; may we prevail (over him) who is not a donor of the oblations that are due; (Agni), to you, and do you, (swift) as a horse be the destroyer of the foes assailing (us).
Even he who cats his firm hard food with swiftness, and overtakes the nights as Vayu kingdoms. May we o'ercome those who resist thine orders, like a steed casting down the flying foemen.
