स स॑त्यसत्वन्मह॒ते रणा॑य॒ रथ॒मा ति॑ष्ठ तुविनृम्ण भी॒मम् । या॒हि प्र॑पथि॒न्नव॒सोप॑ म॒द्रिक्प्र च॑ श्रुत श्रावय चर्ष॒णिभ्यः॑
sa satyasatvanmahate raṇāya rathamā tiṣṭha tuvinṛmṇa bhīmam yāhi prapathinnavasopa madrikpra ca śruta śrāvaya carṣaṇibhyaḥ
He stands for mighty battle, truthful or untruthful, the charioteer fierce and fearful. Come now, press on to the contest, kindle the war‑urge and proclaim it to the ploughing folk.
Leader of true heroes, possessor of infinite wealth, mount your formidable car for the arduous conflict; come to me, pursuer of a forward path, for my protection; do you who are renowned, proclaim (our renown) among men.
As such, true Hero, for great joy of battle mount thy terrific car, O Brave and Manly. Come with thine help to me, thou distant Roamer, and, glorious God, spread among men my glory.
