तन्नो॒ वि वो॑चो॒ यदि॑ ते पु॒रा चि॑ज्जरि॒तार॑ आन॒शुः सु॒म्नमि॑न्द्र । कस्ते॑ भा॒गः किं वयो॑ दुध्र खिद्वः॒ पुरु॑हूत पुरूवसोऽसुर॒घ्नः
tanno vi voco yadi te purā cijjaritāra ānaśuḥ sumnamindra kaste bhāgaḥ kiṃ vayo dudhra khidvaḥ puruhūta purūvaso'suraghnaḥ
Therefore speak to us if in the past you performed rites, O aged one; what portion is ours? Why are we afflicted—priest, foremost among people, destroyer of enemies?
If, Indra, your worshippers have formerly obtained felicity, confer that also upon us; irresistible Indra, subduer of foes, invoked of many, abounding in wealth, what is the portion, what the offering (due) to you who are the slayer of the asuras?
Tell thou us this, if at thy hand aforetime the earlier singers have obtained good fortune, What is thy share and portion, Strong Subduer, Asura-slayer, rich, invoked of many?
