ya eka iddhavyaścarṣaṇīnāmindraṃ taṃ gīrbhirabhyarca ābhiḥ yaḥ patyate vṛṣabho vṛṣṇyāvānsatyaḥ satvā purumāyaḥ sahasvān
He who is one, lord of the discerning chariots, to that Indra the singers offered hymns; he who strides like the bull, with swelling vigour, true in being, creator of great powers, grant strength.
I glorify with these praises, Indra, who alone is to be invoked by man; who comes (to his worshippers) the showerer (of benefits), the vigorous, the observer of truth, the subduer of foes, the possessor of manifold knowledge, the mighty.
WITH these my hymns I glorify that Indra who is alone to be invoked by mortals, The Lord, the Mighty One, of manly vigour, victorious, Hero, true, and full of wisdom.
