स तु श्रु॑धीन्द्र॒ नूत॑नस्य ब्रह्मण्य॒तो वी॑र कारुधायः । त्वं ह्या॒३॒॑पिः प्र॒दिवि॑ पितॄ॒णां शश्व॑द्ब॒भूथ॑ सु॒हव॒ एष्टौ॑
sa tu śrudhīndra nūtanasya brahmaṇyato vīra kārudhāyaḥ tvaṃ hyā3piḥ pradivi pitṝṇāṃ śaśvadbabhūtha suhava eṣṭau
But the new-brilliant Indra, obstructer of Brahman, the brave performer of rites—thou even on the sky didst become the ancestor of fathers, always favorable, O wished one.
Supporter of (your) worshippers, hero, Indra, listen (to the praises) of your present adorer, for you have always attended to invocations at sacrifices in ancient times, as the kinsman of our forefather.
Hear, too, the prayer of this thy present beadsman, O Indra, Hero, cherishing the singer. For thou wast aye our fathers' Friend aforetime, still swift to listen to their supplication.
