May he make us wise, chiefs of the town, skilled in hard paths and strong in battle, who bore the assembly, who carried the shelter abroad; Indra will proclaim the prize to them.
Constructor of paths, who are cognizant (of all things), be our preceder, whether in easy or difficult (ways); bring to us food, Indra, with those your (steeds), who are unwearied, large, and bearers of great burdens.
On good and evil ways be thou our Leader, thou who art known to all as Path-preparer. Bring power to us, O Indra, with thy Horses, Steeds that are best to draw, broad-backed, unwearied.
