You are that unshaken, Agni; the cattle do not decay in your keeping. The pastures for you never age; trees flourish and the grasses grow.

You consume Agni, the unfallen (trees) as an animal (feeds) upon pasture, when, undecaying deity, the flames of you who are resplendent shear the forests.

E'en things imperishable, thou, O Agni, like a gazing ox, Eatest, when hosts, Eternal One! of thee the Mighty rend the woods.
