तन्नः॑ प्र॒त्नं स॒ख्यम॑स्तु यु॒ष्मे इ॒त्था वद॑द्भिर्व॒लमङ्गि॑रोभिः । हन्न॑च्युतच्युद्दस्मे॒षय॑न्तमृ॒णोः पुरो॒ वि दुरो॑ अस्य॒ विश्वाः॑
tannaḥ pratnaṃ sakhyamastu yuṣme itthā vadadbhirvalamaṅgirobhiḥ hannacyutacyuddasmeṣayantamṛṇoḥ puro vi duro asya viśvāḥ
May there be friendship for us in that striving; thus spoke the Angirasen with strong words. Strike down the foe who afflicted us; may he who breaks not fall back before this world.
May that our ancient friendship with you ever endure; as when, along with the Aṅgirasas, celebrating your praises, you, beautiful Indra, caster down of the immoveable (roks), did verily slay Bala, hurling (his darts against you), and force open his cities, and all his gates.
Be this our ancient bond of friendship with you and with Angirases here who speak of Vala. Thou, Wondrous, Shaker of things firm, didst smite him in his fresh strength, and force his doors and castles.
