kitavāso yadriripurna dīvi yadvā ghā satyamuta yanna vidma sarvā tā vi ṣya śithireva devādhā te syāma varuṇa priyāsaḥ
Whether like a wild beast the foe in the sky or a false cry or that which we know not—let all these be overturned; may we be beloved by Varuṇa, the dispenser of truth.
If, like gamesters, who cheat at plural y, (we commit offences) knowingly, or (those) of which we know not, do you divine Varuṇa, extricate us from them all, as if from loosened (bonds), so that we may be dear, Varuṇa, to you.
If we, as gamesters cheat at play, have cheated, done wrong unwittingly or sinned of purpose, Cast all these sins away like loosened fetters, and, Varuna let us be thine own beloved.
