ता हि श्रेष्ठ॑वर्चसा॒ राजा॑ना दीर्घ॒श्रुत्त॑मा । ता सत्प॑ती ऋता॒वृध॑ ऋ॒तावा॑ना॒ जने॑जने
tā hi śreṣṭhavarcasā rājānā dīrghaśruttamā tā satpatī ṛtāvṛdha ṛtāvānā janejane
They, renowned by wide brilliance, are the foremost kings, long-heard and mighty. They are true possessors, upheld by order, having the laws, ruler among men.
They two, verily excelling in radiance, royal (deities), who hear (invocations) from the greatest distance; lords of the virtuous, favourers of the sacrifice, are in movement (for the good of) each individual man.
For they are Kings of noblest might, of glorious fame most widely spread; Lords of the brave, who strengthen Law, the Holy Ones with every race.
