udīrayathā marutaḥ samudrato yūyaṃ vṛṣṭiṃ varṣayathā purīṣiṇaḥ na vo dasrā upa dasyanti dhenavaḥ śubhaṃ yātāmanu rathā avṛtsata
Send forth, Maruts, rain from the sea; shower down like fertile droppings. Let not your herds be seized by foes in the pastures; may good go with the chariot that rolled onward.
You send (the rain), Maruts, from the firmament; charged with the waters you shower down the rain; destroyers of foes, your kine are never dry; may the cars of the quick-moving (Maruts) arrive for our good.
O Maruts, from the Ocean ye uplift the rain, and fraught with vaporous moisture pour the torrents down. Never, ye Wonder-Workers, are your Milch-kine dry. Their cars moved onward as they went to victory.
