अती॑याम नि॒दस्ति॒रः स्व॒स्तिभि॑र्हि॒त्वाव॒द्यमरा॑तीः । वृ॒ष्ट्वी शं योराप॑ उ॒स्रि भे॑ष॒जं स्याम॑ मरुतः स॒ह
atīyāma nidastiraḥ svastibhirhitvāvadyamarātīḥ vṛṣṭvī śaṃ yorāpa usri bheṣajaṃ syāma marutaḥ saha
He has spread far; he sleeps secure; with auspicious ones he drives away the enemies—may the Marut be our remedy, bringing abundant rain as a healing draught.
May we overcomeour secret and reviling adversaries, having departed from iniquity by good deeds; may we possess, Maruts, through the rain (sent by you), unmixed happiness, water, cattle and herbs.
May we in safety pass by those who slander us, leaving behind disgrace and hate. Maruts, may we be there when ye, at dawn, in rest and toil, rain waters down and balm.
