एता॒ धियं॑ कृ॒णवा॑मा सखा॒योऽप॒ या मा॒ताँ ऋ॑णु॒त व्र॒जं गोः । यया॒ मनु॑र्विशिशि॒प्रं जि॒गाय॒ यया॑ व॒णिग्व॒ङ्कुरापा॒ पुरी॑षम्
etā dhiyaṃ kṛṇavāmā sakhāyo'pa yā mātām̐ ṛṇuta vrajaṃ goḥ yayā manurviśiśipraṃ jigāya yayā vaṇigvaṅkurāpā purīṣam
We made these thoughts, O friends; they do not reject mothers nor drive away cattle. By which the renowned man prevailed, by which the merchant planted seed and filled the town with men.
Come, friends, let us celebrate that solemn rite which was effectual in setting open the (secret) stalls of the (stolen) cattle; by which Manu overcame Viśiśipra; by which the merchant, going to the wood (for it), obtained the water.
Come, let us carry out, O friends, the purpose wherewith the Mother threw the Cow's stall open, That wherewith Manu conquered Visisipra, wherewith the wandering merchant gained heaven's water.
