नव॒ यद॑स्य नव॒तिं च॑ भो॒गान्सा॒कं वज्रे॑ण म॒घवा॑ विवृ॒श्चत् । अर्च॒न्तीन्द्रं॑ म॒रुतः॑ स॒धस्थे॒ त्रैष्टु॑भेन॒ वच॑सा बाधत॒ द्याम्
nava yadasya navatiṃ ca bhogānsākaṃ vajreṇa maghavā vivṛścat arcantīndraṃ marutaḥ sadhasthe traiṣṭubhena vacasā bādhata dyām
Nine and his ninety pleasures the mighty ones opened with the thunderbolt; the Marut, praising Indra in the Trishtubh metre, struck the sky with speech.
Whereupon Maghavan has destroyed with his thunderbolt at once his (Śambara's) ninety and nine cities; the Maruts glorifying Indra in a common dwelling with the Triṣṭubh hymn, he destroyed the bright (city of the asura).
When Maghavan with the thunderbolt demolished his nine-and-ninety castles all together, The Maruts, where they met, glorified Indra: ye with the Trstup hymn obstructed heaven.
