Kindled Agni, radiant on high, lamenting not, shines forth with the sacrificial grass; East comes with abundant homage to the gods, with oblations, ghee and praise.
Agni, when kindled, spreads lustre through the firmament, and shines widely in the presence of the dawn; Viśvavārā, facing the east, glorifying the gods with praises, and bearing the ladle with the oblation, proceeds (to the sacred fire).
AGNI inflamed hath sent to heaven his lustre: he shines forth widely turning unto Morning. Eastward the ladle goes that brings all blessing, praising the Godswith homage and oblation.
