हृ॒णी॒यमा॑नो॒ अप॒ हि मदैयेः॒ प्र मे॑ दे॒वानां॑ व्रत॒पा उ॑वाच । इन्द्रो॑ वि॒द्वाँ अनु॒ हि त्वा॑ च॒चक्ष॒ तेना॒हम॑ग्ने॒ अनु॑शिष्ट॒ आगा॑म्
hṛṇīyamāno apa hi madaiyeḥ pra me devānāṃ vratapā uvāca indro vidvām̐ anu hi tvā cacakṣa tenāhamagne anuśiṣṭa āgām
They spoke, minds restrained from arrogance, concerning my power. Indra, the wise followed thee; thus Agni, I was commanded to come and attend thee.
When angered, (Agni), depart from me; the protector of the worship of the gods, (Indra), has spoken to me; the wise Indra has looked upon you, and instrumental ucted by him, I have come, Agni, to you.
Thou hast sped from me, Agni, in thine anger: this the protector of Gods' Laws hath told me. Indra who knoweth bent his eye upon thee: by him instructed am I come, O Agni.
