O Agni, you have wonderfully made the ritual fit, the skillful one of Daksha. You, like a sun, ascend the sky; Mitra is not the sacrificial foe.

Marvellous Agni, (gratified) by our acts, (produce) in us greatness of vigour; in you abides the strength destroying evil spirits; you who are to be worshipped like Mitra, are the doer (of great deeds).

Ours art thou, wondrous Agni, bywisdom and bounteousness of power. The might of Asuras rests on thee, like Mitra worshipful in act.
