Instantly, O Agni, thou hast shone forth, surpassing others in strength; thou wert the fairest. With the hymn he strode forth in forms, delightful, he wins the favor of mortal hosts.
(Too) quickly, Agni, do you pass to others from him to whom you have been manifest; most beautiful, adorable, radiant, many-shining, the loved of people, the guest of men.
Thou quickly passest by all others, Agni, for him to whom thou hast appeared most lovely, Wondrously fair, adorable, effulgent, the guest of men, the darling of the people.
