ऊ॒र्ध्व ऊ॒ षु णो॑ अध्वरस्य होत॒रग्ने॒ तिष्ठ॑ दे॒वता॑ता॒ यजी॑यान् । त्वं हि विश्व॑म॒भ्यसि॒ मन्म॒ प्र वे॒धस॑श्चित्तिरसि मनी॒षाम्
ūrdhva ū ṣu ṇo adhvarasya hotaragne tiṣṭha devatātā yajīyān tvaṃ hi viśvamabhyasi manma pra vedhasaścittirasi manīṣām
O Agni, standing above and below, the priest for the sacrifice, you who dwell with the gods and are to be invoked. You indeed pervade all; you are my mind's seer and the wise one's understanding.
Agni, ministrant of the sacrifice, do you who are entitled to worship, be above usin this offering to the gods; for you prevail over all that is desirable; you inspire the praise of the worshipper.
PRIEST of our rite, stand up erect, O Agni, in the Gods' service best of sacrificers, For over evei y thought thou art the Ruler: thou furtherest e'en the wisdom of the pious.
