तस्मा॑ अ॒ग्निर्भार॑तः॒ शर्म॑ यंस॒ज्ज्योक्प॑श्या॒त्सूर्य॑मु॒च्चर॑न्तम् । य इन्द्रा॑य सु॒नवा॒मेत्याह॒ नरे॒ नर्या॑य॒ नृत॑माय नृ॒णाम्
tasmā agnirbhārataḥ śarma yaṃsajjyokpaśyātsūryamuccarantam ya indrāya sunavāmetyāha nare naryāya nṛtamāya nṛṇām
Therefore Agni, O Bharata, made radiance as his ornament; he who, looking forth, proclaimed the sun. He who came as Indra’s son said: “Not man to man, but righteousness for men.”
May Agni, the bearer of oblations, grant him felicity, and long behold the rising sun (in the dwelling of him) who says, let us offer libations to Indra, leader (of rites) the friend of man, the chief leader among leaders.
To him shall Agni Bharata give shelter: long shall he look upon the Sun up-rising, Who sayeth, Let us press the juice for Indra, man's Friend, the Hero manliest of heroes.
