Indra, you have laid this our sacrifice before the town; accept our might. Like a thunderer who kindles for the treasures, by you, O noble ones, may we, men of wealth, win victory.
You, Indra, plural cing us before you, shall receive this sacrifice, our holy offering; and as the huntsman (kills his game), may we, your worshippers, holder of the thunderbolt, for the acquisition of riches through you to be victorious in battle.
Thou, honouring this our sacrifice, O Indra, shalt give us strength and fill us full of courage. To win the booty, Thunder-armed! like hunters may we with thee subdue in fight our foemen.
