भि॒नद्गि॒रिं शव॑सा॒ वज्र॑मि॒ष्णन्ना॑विष्कृण्वा॒नः स॑हसा॒न ओजः॑ । वधी॑द्वृ॒त्रं वज्रे॑ण मन्दसा॒नः सर॒न्नापो॒ जव॑सा ह॒तवृ॑ष्णीः
bhinadgiriṃ śavasā vajramiṣṇannāviṣkṛṇvānaḥ sahasāna ojaḥ vadhīdvṛtraṃ vajreṇa mandasānaḥ sarannāpo javasā hatavṛṣṇīḥ
Smashing the mountain with his swift bolt, with thunder he unleashed strength; by the might of thunder he struck Vṛtra down—waters leapt forth, the herd was slain by his vigorous onslaught.
The subduer of foes, manifesting his energy and hurling his thunderbolt, shattered the mountain by his strength; he slew Vṛtra with the thunderbolt, exulting, and the waters whose obstructor was destroyed rushed forth with rapidity.
Hurling his bolt with might he cleft the mountain, while, putting forth his strength, he showed his vigour. He slaughtered Vrtra with his bolt, exulting, and, their lord slain, forth flowed the waters swiftly.
