ति॒ग्मा यद॒न्तर॒शनिः॒ पता॑ति॒ कस्मि॑ञ्चिच्छूर मुहु॒के जना॑नाम् । घो॒रा यद॑र्य॒ समृ॑ति॒र्भवा॒त्यध॑ स्मा नस्त॒न्वो॑ बोधि गो॒पाः
tigmā yadantaraśaniḥ patāti kasmiñcicchūra muhuke janānām ghorā yadarya samṛtirbhavātyadha smā nastanvo bodhi gopāḥ
When the sharp thunderbolt within rumbles, who among men shall restrain the peoples at the cry? Fearsome as the sun’s bright memory, thy children awake; the herds are made aware.
Hero, indra, when in any conflict of men the sharp thunderbolt falls in the midst (of them), and when, lord there is a terrible battle, then the defender of our person ns is made known.
When the sharp-pointed arrow, O thou Hero, flieth mid any conflict of the people, When, Faithful One, the dread encounter cometh, then be thou the Protector of our body.
