kutsāya śuṣṇamaśuṣaṃ ni barhīḥ prapitve ahnaḥ kuyavaṃ sahasrā sadyo dasyūnpra mṛṇa kutsyena pra sūraścakraṃ vṛhatādabhīke
By scorn the dry and the wet were brought low, the rituals reached the day; a youthful thousand were endowed with strength. Straightaway ten Dasyus were slain; the hero then made wide the chariot and mighty the host.
For Kutsa, you have slain the unhappy Śuṣṇa and in the forepart of the day, attended by thousands (you have slain) Kuyava with the thunderbolt; you have swiftly destroyed the Dasyus, and you have cut them to pieces in the battle, with the wheel (of the chariot of) the sun.
For Kutsa, with thy thousand, thou at day-break didst hurl down greedy Susna, foe of harvest. Quickly with Kutsa's friend destroy the Dasyus, and roll the chariot-wheel of Sarya near us.
