वृ॒षा॒यन्ते॑ म॒हे अत्या॑य पू॒र्वीर्वृष्णे॑ चि॒त्राय॑ र॒श्मयः॑ सुया॒माः । देव॑ होतर्म॒न्द्रत॑रश्चिकि॒त्वान्म॒हो दे॒वान्रोद॑सी॒ एह व॑क्षि
vṛṣāyante mahe atyāya pūrvīrvṛṣṇe citrāya raśmayaḥ suyāmāḥ deva hotarmandrataraścikitvānmaho devānrodasī eha vakṣi
They magnify the mighty, the earlier Vrsnis; beams of varied hues sweep like the evening. The gods’ priest chants the hymn of dawns—he will speak it.
Divine invoker of the gods, the vast and widespreading rays shed (moisture) for you, the mighty, the victorius, the wonderful, the showerer (of benefits); do you who are all knowing, joy-bestowing, bring hither the great gods, and heaven and earth.
The many seek the great Steed as a stallion: the reins obey the Lord of varied colour. O heavenly Priest, most pleasant, full of wisdom, bring the great Gods to us, and Earth and Heaven.
