अच्छा॑ वो दे॒वीमु॒षसं॑ विभा॒तीं प्र वो॑ भरध्वं॒ नम॑सा सुवृ॒क्तिम् । ऊ॒र्ध्वं म॑धु॒धा दि॒वि पाजो॑ अश्रे॒त्प्र रो॑च॒ना रु॑रुचे र॒ण्वसं॑दृक्
acchā vo devīmuṣasaṃ vibhātīṃ pra vo bharadhvaṃ namasā suvṛktim ūrdhvaṃ madhudhā divi pājo aśretpra rocanā ruruce raṇvasaṃdṛk
O goddess, may you shine upon us with your delightful light; accept our salutations and good counsel. Upward, honey-giver of the sky, with ample legions, bring forth glory, making the battle-cry sweet.
Offer, with your prostrations, due praise to the divine Uṣas, shining upon yoou; the repository of sweetness manifests her brightness aloft in the sky, and radiant and lovely lights the regions.
Hither invoke the radiant Goddess Morning, and bring with reverence your hymn to praise her. She, dropping sweets, hath set in heaven her brightness, and, fair to look on, hath beamed forth her splendour.
