na tā minanti māyino na dhīrā vratā devānāṃ prathamā dhruvāṇi na rodasī adruhā vedyābhirna parvatā niname tasthivāṃsaḥ
Those who are crafty do not diminish them; steadfast rules are the first of the gods. Not melted away are the mountains by tears — the sages stand firm.
Neither the deceptive nor the resolute interrupt the primitive and permanent operations of the gods, nor do the innocuous heaven and earth (interrupt them), nor are the mountains standing (on the earth) to be bowed down.
NOT men of magic skill, not men of wisdom impair the Gods' first steadfast ordinances. Ne'er may the earth and heaven which know not malice, nor the fixed hills, be bowed by sage devices.
