Great light in the great day, desire wanders over the earth seeking offspring. When the gods in your hymns move, they delight the pair of beings.
Knowing their greatness, offer worship to the vast heaven and to the earth; my desire, wishing (for felicity) proceed (to them), in whose praise the gods, desirous of adoration, delight together with their worshippers at the sacrifice.
To mighty Heaven and Earth I sing forth loudly: my wish goes out desirous and well knowing Both, at whose laud in synods, showing favour, the Gods rejoice them with the living mortal.
