Swift Agni, may you be increased by hymns, by songs and praises of worshippers, by obeisances and sacred formulas. Resembling the primal law, like a messenger today you drive away the hostile one from the outfall.
The adorable Agni is magnified by the hymns, the prayers, the praises, of (his) worshippers; emulating the many glories of the sun, the messenger (of the gods) shines forth at the glimmering of the dawn.
Agni hath waxen mighty by laudations, to be adored with hymns of those who praise him. Loving the varied shows of holy Order at the first flush of dawn he shines as envoy.
