प्र दीधि॑तिर्वि॒श्ववा॑रा जिगाति॒ होता॑रमि॒ळः प्र॑थ॒मं यज॑ध्यै । अच्छा॒ नमो॑भिर्वृष॒भं व॒न्दध्यै॒ स दे॒वान्य॑क्षदिषि॒तो यजी॑यान्
pra dīdhitirviśvavārā jigāti hotāramiḷaḥ prathamaṃ yajadhyai acchā namobhirvṛṣabhaṃ vandadhyai sa devānyakṣadiṣito yajīyān
He shines forth, the protector most wide, the kindler, first set to be praised in sacrifice. With homages they adore the bull; the gods, urged, appointed him to be worshipped.
May the all-approved praise reach the invoker of the gods; may Iḷā first proceed to worship and to praise with prostrations the showerer (of benefits) in his presence; may the adorable (Agni), instrumental gated (by us), worship the gods.
The thought that bringeth every boon proceedeth to worship first the Priest of the libation, That we may greet the Strong One with our homage. Urged, may he bring the Gods, best Sacrificer.
