ramadhvaṃ me vacase somyāya ṛtāvarīrupa muhūrtamevaiḥ pra sindhumacchā bṛhatī manīṣāvasyurahve kuśikasya sūnuḥ
Rejoice in my word, O Soma, ordained in this fixed hour; pour forth, O great Sindhu, thy abundant thought on Kushika’s fame, O son.
Viśvāmitra speaks: Rivers, charged with water, rest a moment from your course at my request, who go to gather the Soma; I, the son of Kuśika, desirous of protection, address with earnest prayer especially the river before me.
Linger a little at my friendly bidding rest, Holy Ones, a moment in your journey. With hymn sublime soliciting your favour Kusika's son hath called unto the River.
