Husband, slayer of Vritra’s brood, lord of songs, whose speech is wide‑life and bull‑like power, winds as warriors: come to us with friends, with auspicious great ones, with earth‑protecting forces, protectors.
Slayer of Vṛtra, do you, who is long lived the showerer (of benefits), the giver of food, be the lord of our true praises, repairing (to the sacrifice), come to us great, with great, friendly, and auspicious protections.
Be Lord of joyous songs, O Vrtra-slayer, Bull dear to all, who gives the power of living. Come unto us with thine auspicious friendship, hastening, Mighty One, with mighty succours.
