With oblations Indra fashioned the slayer of Vrtra from those born; they milked him like honey, shedding sweetness. From the cows they drew forth the clarified butter, offering it plentifully.
Indra, the slayer of Vṛtra, let loose the milch kine, assisted by the Maruts, born for his aid, and entitled to praises and oblations, and the excellent (cows) contributing abundantly to sacred offerings, and yielding the butter of libation, milked for him sweet (sacrificial) food.
Indra drove forth the kine, that Vrtra-slayer, while hymns of praise rose up and gifts were offered. For him the Cow, noble and far-extending, poured pleasant juices, bringing oil and sweetness.
