O Agni, burning within, invader of foes, fierce in wrath and destroying enemies, may your steady vigor remain; may tireless might abide with you unaging.

Vex thoroughly, Agni, our assailing enemies, disappoint the purpose of the adversary who offers not worship; giver of dwellings, who are cognizant (of sacred rites), vex those who have no thought (of pious acts) so that your undecaying, all-pervading (rays), may ever abide.

Agni, burn up the unfriendly who are near us, burn thou the foeman's curse who pays no worship. Burn, Vasu, thou who markest well, the foolish: let thine eternal nimble beams surround thee.
