ओष्ठा॑विव॒ मध्वा॒स्ने वद॑न्ता॒ स्तना॑विव पिप्यतं जी॒वसे॑ नः । नासे॑व नस्त॒न्वो॑ रक्षि॒तारा॒ कर्णा॑विव सु॒श्रुता॑ भूतम॒स्मे
oṣṭhāviva madhvāsne vadantā stanāviva pipyataṃ jīvase naḥ nāseva nastanvo rakṣitārā karṇāviva suśrutā bhūtamasme
Like lips they speak with honeyed mouths; like breasts they nourish our life. Like noses they protect our faces; like ears they are well-hearing for us.
Like two lips uttering sweet words, like two breasts yielding nourishment for our existence; be to us like two noses, preserving our person ns, and like two ears for the hearing of agreeable (sounds).
Even as two lips that with the mouth speak honey, even as two breasts that nourish our existence, Like the two nostrils that protect our being, be to us as our ears that hear distinctly.
