pra babhrave vṛṣabhāya śvitīce maho mahīṃ suṣṭutimīrayāmi namasyā kalmalīkinaṃ namobhirgṛṇīmasi tveṣaṃ rudrasya nāma
I hymn for the bull with white cheeks, bellowing mightily over the great earth; I praise his curling mane—hail to that reverent one who is Rudra’s name.
I address infinite and earnest praise to the showerer (of benefits), the cherisher (of all), the white-complexioned; adore the consumer (of sin), with prostrations; we glorify the illustrious name of Rudra.
To him the strong, great, tawny, fair-complexioned, I utter forth a mighty hymn of praises. We serve the brilliant God with adorations, we glorify, the splendid name of Rudra.
