May the enemies of Rudra be crushed; may the wicked thought of this land depart from your host. Stand firm against glory’s foes; be of help, O bull’s son, for the mighty one.
May the javelin of Rudra avoid us; may the great displeasure of the radiant deity pass away (from us); showerer of benefits, turn away your strong (bow) from the wealthy (offerers of oblations), and bestow happiness upon (our) sons and grandsons.
May Rudra's missile turn aside and spare us, the great wrath of the impetuous One avoid us. Turn, Bounteous God, thy strong bow from our princes, and be thou gracious to our seed and offspring.
