kumāraścitpitaraṃ vandamānaṃ prati nānāma rudropayantam bhūrerdātāraṃ satpatiṃ gṛṇīṣe stutastvaṃ bheṣajā rāsyasme
Kumara, celebrated ancestor, reverent, you approached Rudra’s offerings in many ways. I praise the generous giver, the true lord; you are praised, O healer, be favorable to me.
I bow, Rudra, to you, approaching (our rite), as a boy to his father when pronouncing a blessing upon him; I glorify you, the giver of much (wealth), the protector of the virtuous; do you, thus glorified, bestow healing herbs upon me.
I bend to thee as thou approachest, Rudra, even as a boy before the sire who greets him.
