यो नः॒ सनु॑त्य उ॒त वा॑ जिघ॒त्नुर॑भि॒ख्याय॒ तं ति॑गि॒तेन॑ विध्य । बृह॑स्पत॒ आयु॑धैर्जेषि॒ शत्रू॑न्द्रु॒हे रीष॑न्तं॒ परि॑ धेहि राजन्
yo naḥ sanutya uta vā jighatnurabhikhyāya taṃ tigitena vidhya bṛhaspata āyudhairjeṣi śatrūndruhe rīṣantaṃ pari dhehi rājan
Whoever did not call upon us or wished to fight us in dread, him subdue with this song. Bṛhaspati, with arms grant life; O king, surround and crush the hostile one.
Detecting him who is lying in ambush (against us), who is purposing our death, pierce him, Bṛhaspati, with your sharp (thunderbolt), and overthrow (our) enemies with (your) weapons; hurl, monarch, your destroying (shaft) against the oppressor.
Him who waylays, yea, him who would destroy us,-aim at him, pierce him with thy sharpened weapon. Brhaspati, with arms thou slayest foemen O King, give up the spoiler to destruction.
