Waters, praise Varuṇa; do not be fearful or deceitful toward us. In exchange be kindly, do not withdraw; do not wither away even for a blink when we call.
Keep off all danger from me, Varuṇa; supreme monarch, endowed with truth, bestow your favour upon me; cast off (from me) sin, like a tether from a calf; no one rules for the twinkling of an eye, apart from you.
Far from me, Varuna, remove all danger accept me graciously, thou Holy Sovran. Cast off, like cords that hold a calf, my troubles: I am not even mine eyelid's lord without thee.
