We invoke you, protector of bodies; may you repel adverse contact from us. Brihaspati, dispel the darkness of the gods' abode and lift us to the auspicious north.
Bṛhaspati, defender (from calamity), we invoke you, the protector of our person ns, the speaker of encouraging words and well disposed towards us; do you destroy the revilers of the gods; let not the malevolent attain supreme felicity.
Thee as protector of our bodies we invoke, thee, saviour, as the comforter who loveth us. Strike, O Brhaspati, the Gods' revilers down, and let not the unrighteous come to highest bliss.
