स इ॑धा॒न उ॒षसो॒ राम्या॒ अनु॒ स्व१॒॑र्ण दी॑देदरु॒षेण॑ भा॒नुना॑ । होत्रा॑भिर॒ग्निर्मनु॑षः स्वध्व॒रो राजा॑ वि॒शामति॑थि॒श्चारु॑रा॒यवे॑
sa idhāna uṣaso rāmyā anu sva1rṇa dīdedaruṣeṇa bhānunā hotrābhiragnirmanuṣaḥ svadhvaro rājā viśāmatithiścārurāyave
Thus, O Agni, in the radiant dawn you furnished pleasing splendour with golden light. The priest-bearing man, ruler of offerings, glorifies the king; the beautiful assembly rejoices in the brave ones.
Kindled at the beautiful dawn, (Agni) shines with brilliant lustre, like the sun; adored by the hymns of the worshipper, Agni, the king of men, (comes as) an agreeable guest to the instrumental tutor of the sacrifice.
Enkindled night by night at every morning's dawn, may he shine forth with red flame like the realm of light,- Agni adored in beauteous rites with lauds of men, fair guest of living man and King of all our folk.
