सो अ॑प्र॒तीनि॒ मन॑वे पु॒रूणीन्द्रो॑ दाशद्दा॒शुषे॒ हन्ति॑ वृ॒त्रम् । स॒द्यो यो नृभ्यो॑ अत॒साय्यो॒ भूत्प॑स्पृधा॒नेभ्यः॒ सूर्य॑स्य सा॒तौ
so apratīni manave purūṇīndro dāśaddāśuṣe hanti vṛtram sadyo yo nṛbhyo atasāyyo bhūtpaspṛdhānebhyaḥ sūryasya sātau
He, frequent in flights, Indra, unafraid of men, struck and slew Vritra in fierce battle. Straightaway he gave to men what was desired, the treasure of the sun to those seeking wealth.
To the presenter (ofthe libation) Indra gives many unparalleled gifts; he slays Vṛtra; he who was the arbiter among his worshippers when contending for the possession of the Sun.
To him who worshippeth hath Indra given many and matchless gifts. He slayeth Vrtra. Straight was he to be sought with supplications by men who struggled to obtain the sunlight.
