avaṃśe dyāmastabhāyadbṛhantamā rodasī apṛṇadantarikṣam sa dhārayatpṛthivīṃ paprathacca somasya tā mada indraścakāra
Thus he set the heavens and stretched the spacious dawn; he upheld the earth and first established order. These powers of Soma did Indra enact.
Who fixed the heaven in unsupported (space) and filled the spacious firmament, and heaven and earth, (with light); he it is who has upheld, and has made the earth renowned; in the exhilaration of the Soma, Indra has done these (deeds).
High heaven unsupported in space he stablished: he filled the two worlds and the air's mid-region. Earth he upheld, and gave it wide expansion. These things did Indra in the Soma's rapture.
