yaḥ saptaraśmirvṛṣabhastuviṣmānavāsṛjatsartave sapta sindhūn yo rauhiṇamasphuradvajrabāhurdyāmārohantaṃ sa janāsa indraḥ
He who fashioned seven rays, the bull, who produced seven streams and the seven rivers, who made the thunderer’s bolt gleam, who mounted the sky: that Indra I know.
He, the seven-rayed, the showerer, the powerful, who let loose the seven rivers to flow; who, armed with the thunderbolt, crushed Rauhiṇa when scaling heaven; he, men, is Indra.
Who with seven guiding reins, the Bull, the Mighty, set free the Seven great Floods to flow at pleasure; Who, thunder-armed, rent Rauhina in pieces when scaling heaven, He, O ye men, is Indra.
