Truly grant to him excellent reward, the winner of spoils; Indra, the mighty gift to the south. Give instruction to the singers; may our share grow, great be our praise, O heroes.
That opulent donation, which proceeds, Indra, from you, assuredly bestows upon him who praises you the boon (which he desires); grant it to us, your prisers; do not you, who are the object of adoration, disregard (our prayer); so that, blessed with worthy descendants, we may glorify you at this sacrifice.
Now let that wealthy Cow of thine, O Indra, yield in return a boon to him who lauds thee. Give to thy praisers: let not fortune fail us. Loud may we speak, with brave men, in the assembly.
