tvamagne tvaṣṭā vidhate suvīryaṃ tava gnāvo mitramahaḥ sajātyam tvamāśuhemā rariṣe svaśvyaṃ tvaṃ narāṃ śardho asi purūvasuḥ
You, O Agni, the artisan who shapes heroic might, your fires and great Mitra are born together. You, who speed with horses, are the radiant one; you are the bestower of wealth and protector of men, ancient and foremost.
You, Agni, are Tvaṣṭā, (the giver) of great wealth to (your) worshipper; these praises are yours; do you, of benevolent power, (admit) our affinity; you, who are prompt to encourage (us), give us good (store of) horses; you, who abound with opulence, are the strength of men.
Thou givest strength, as Tvastar, to the worshipper: thou wielding Mitra's power hast kinship with the Dames. Thou, urging thy fleet coursers, givest noble steeds: a host of heroes art thou with great store of wealth.
