ए॒तान्य॑ग्ने नव॒तिर्नव॒ त्वे आहु॑ता॒न्यधि॑रथा स॒हस्रा॑ । तेभि॑र्वर्धस्व त॒न्वः॑ शूर पू॒र्वीर्दि॒वो नो॑ वृ॒ष्टिमि॑षि॒तो रि॑रीहि
etānyagne navatirnava tve āhutānyadhirathā sahasrā tebhirvardhasva tanvaḥ śūra pūrvīrdivo no vṛṣṭimiṣito rirīhi
These, O Agni, are ninety‑nine and nine; with thousands of cars (offered) you are invoked. May they increase you, brave ones; send down the earlier rain from heaven to us.
These ninety-and-nine thousands of chariot-lords have been offered, Agni, to you; with them, O hero,nourish your many bodies; and thus solicited sends us rain from heaven.
The wagon-loads, the nine-and-ninety thousand, these have been offered up to thee, O Agni. Hero, with these increase thy many bodies, and, stimulated, send us rain from heaven.
